Can't make payments at physical locations

The payment system is down. I was forced to make a card payment with a $4.75 fee. When I had bank draft setup they overcharge. The wait time for an agent is over 45 min. What a disgrace!

Potomac Edison - Complaint
Contacted them for pulling in my wet yard on a private road to hook to my pole to run electric to a new development right beside me tried to reach out to them about getting it fixed and they ignored me I will be contacting the higher ups and not to mention the trash that was left in my driveway from them from putting connectors on the poles..

I still am not able to get a rep on the phone. I want to change my address, if I cannot get anyone to help, I simply won't pay and I'll go to court.

No one to help change my address. I moved and need electricity in my new place. This is a human necessity and no one answers calls. The wait time for a rep is 60 minutes. Disgusting. I have no hot water, I cannot cook or take a shower. There is simply no answer besides that robot who is useless as well.

Potomac Edison had a 50 free 4 T8 LED lamp promo that we qualified for for our Childcare facility, we lined up an installer for the lamps and they only ever sent one box of 25 lamps and we need at least 48 for the project, so I would like them to send the balance of the promo as promised. We got involved with a promotion in late 2023 with 50 LED tubes sent at no charge if we took before and after photos and were only ever sent 25 of the 50 LED lamps and didn’t finish the promo?

I had questions about the bill. My issue is about the three hour wait for a human being to talk to. Who took two minutes to answer my question. Your automated computer system is impersonal and shows how little you care about your customers. Hope you are enjoying the money you are saving not hiring people to take care of needs your customers. When I did get your human representative she was patient and helped me with my issues and questions professional and efficiently. Three hours really. Not cool

No Power No Dispatch

Power went down in part of the development I live in. It was reported as soon as it happened. 5 hours later as of this posting and they have yet to dispatch of crew to get power restored. Just an awful company when it comes to taking care of their customers in a timely manner.

Venting

I am a disabled veteran trying to do my best to support my family on a fixed income...it's not like I can put in for some overtime to cover money needed that my pension may not be able to cover that particular month.

Ive explained this to Potomac Edison MANY times...but yet they continue to threaten me with service interruption...this time over $122!!!

I am 100% service connected disabled. And I receive SSDI as well, but those two combined aren't enough to cover all my monthly expenses.

My wife and I take care of my disabled mom as well. My mom is also a disabled vet, Gulf War era. And my wife is steadily denied for her application for SSDI due to her being a stay at home mom for the last 20 years...they say she hasn't paid into the system therefore she's not eligible for services.

With all these circumstances repeatedly explained to Potomac Edison, they seem supremely empowered over the fact that they operate a monopoly on the electric services in my area.

It's not like someone can just go to another company for better service.

All I can say is that the US Supreme Court ordered Bill Gates to dismantle Google's attempted monopoly on internet services. Why would they have such a hard time doing it to Potomac Edison, whose absolute monopoly of services has made them completely desensitized to the fact that everyone doesn't have the financial means to pay every bill on time, and sometimes falter to keep up with payment arrangements...

And people wonder why so many folks want to live "off grid"..

Horrible Service

Came and cut off my electric without a disconnection notice. Received a notice on October 12, 2023 that said my bill was due on 11/2. They cut my service off without an email or any direct communication. No explanation or anything. They claim disconnection are sent through the mail which makes no sense if my communication preference is email. Very disturbing, they also will not come and turn your service on until 24hrs later. They should be out of business!!

I called on the complaint line to report a tree taken down without being notified and left laying on my property. The automated response system could not recognize tree removal , asked to be transferred to customer service and was put on hold. There was no automated message or response except a looped music recording after 15 minutes so I hung up. I wasnt pissed before but Im getting there now!
